Ripley's IQ Game

I first came across Ripley's IQ game around the year 2000. Shortly thereafter, Ripley redesigned their site and removed the game before I had a chance to grab it. Fortunately, I found a copy of the Shockwave file at FratGuyAntics.com which has since been shut down.

The Start Over button never worked correctly after being hacked off the Ripley site and I never found time to decompile the .swf file to fix it. So, just refresh the page to reload the game or click the Start Over link below the game box.

BTW: It takes less than 30 seconds to solve this puzzle. It's not hard - I just like it. Perhaps I'll add a solution page in case anyone is interested in seeing the step-by-step solution.

Have fun. This is play time.

These three Flash based games are a great way to waste time. I stumbled upon each at some point over the years and saved the Shockwave file for posterity's sake. Over the past few years however, Flash is slowly being retired. As of this writing, it will still run with a user granting permission via a browser pop-up, but it's hard to say how long browser support will last.

So...for the time being, enjoy the games while there's still time!

Ripley's IQ

My favorite of the three is Ripley's IQ.
It's a very simple Flash based puzzle.

Bash The Computer

Bash the Computer

Bash the Computer is a simple game that offers a release for all the pent-up frustration modern computers give us.

Falling Girl

Falling Girl is not so much a game, rather a demonstration of inverse kinematics. Having roots in 3-D vector modeling and animation, I found this demostration quite facinating. Besides, it's still a great way to waste time.

Bash the Computer

As a computer geek, there are times I want to pound our silicon friends to pieces. When I happened across this Flash game several years ago, I knew it would be a perfect addition to my Play Time catagory.

FYI: A laptop computer will fly horizontally over 50ft if thrown like a Frisbee from a second floor balcony.

Have fun. This is play time.

Falling Girl

Many years ago, I found this Flash animation somewhere on the Internet. I was taken by the use of inverse kinematics and found myself flipping and dragging this character through 3D space for, well, for far too long.

If you work the character just right, you can get it stuck between spheres and see the child properties continue to react on either side of the object which is just plain cool.

Have fun. This is play time.
